The internet ends at the trash fence

Every web tool ever brought to a burn has died at the gate. burnmanager is built the other way around: the week without internet is the main event, not the edge case.

Offline

Offline-first by design

Shift board, roster, manifests and the day's program are cached on every member's phone. Airplane mode all week; everything still opens.

Offline

Prints beautifully

Whiteboards and laminated sheets are on-playa technology that works. Every board has a print view designed for exactly that, instead of a screenshot of a spreadsheet.

Offline

Sync when you touch wifi

Changes made offline merge when a device finds connectivity, with the audit trail keeping order. No lost edits, no “whose version is right”.

Why this module exists

Camps run their burn on printed sheets and whiteboards because nothing else survives the trash fence. That is a fine tradition and a terrible single copy: when the wind takes the shift sheet, the schedule is gone.

Offline-first means the phone copy, the print copy and the after-the-burn record are the same thing. It is the one feature that makes a camp tool real instead of another tab that stops working on Sunday.

Questions camps ask

Is there an app to install?

No app store needed: burnmanager is a web app you can add to your home screen, and it keeps working without a connection.

What happens when two people edit offline?

Changes merge when devices sync, and the audit trail shows what happened. Conflicts are flagged instead of silently overwritten.

Does it eat battery or data?

No. Everything is cached up front; on playa the app reads from the device and syncs only when you ask it to.
